Hosting & server logs
This website is hosted by Host Europe GmbH, Hansestraße 111, 51149 Cologne, Germany. When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files, including your browser type, operating system, referring URL, IP address, and time of access. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and cannot be attributed to a specific person. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest). Log files are deleted after 7 days.
Contact form
When you submit the contact form on this website, the data you provide (name, email address, and message) is transmitted to me by email and additionally stored in the website’s database via the Contact Form 7 DB plugin. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (processing necessary to take steps prior to entering a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). Data stored in the database is deleted once it is no longer needed. You may request deletion at any time by contacting me at jonathan@jonathanklodt.com.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to my newsletter, your name and email address are transmitted to and stored by Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA). Mailchimp uses a double opt-in process — you will receive a confirmation email and must click the link to complete your subscription.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email. Mailchimp is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Mailchimp’s privacy policy.
YouTube
This website embeds videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When you load a page containing a YouTube embed, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established and your IP address is transmitted. If you are logged into a Google account, YouTube may associate your visit with your account.

This website uses Cal.com for booking appointments. When you use the booking widget, you interact directly with Cal.com’s platform (Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5764, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA).
