Challenges and potentials of Building Community

If Community is the answer, what is the question?

Hosted by Alexandra Alden & Jonathan Klodt
Plus Special expert guests

Intention:
  • to equip community catalysts with tools, perspectives and questions to create more powerful community
  • get to know and support each other with current challenges

Community has the potential to reunite us with deeper purpose and a sense of interconnectedness, it can also get messy, and sometimes dysfunctional. The intention of these interactive explorations is to create a collective support system around working with the realities of being in interdependence.

Each month, we will invite a community weaver to share their experience and a question they wish to work on with the group. We will harness our collective intelligence to support them. Then, participants will be invited to share questions they wish to workshop, and we will address those together.

As a community weaver you are someone either already involved or on the path of creating community. You will receive inspiration, support and guidance on how to deepen your practice and effectiveness in bringing together people and building the invisible structures that hold groups together.

This sessions expert:

Ticon Storay

Ticon is one of Finca Morpho’s Root (co-founding) Members. You can find him guiding the flow, holding space for movement practices, and offering personal support. In college, Ticon studied finance and economics.

After learning the shocking reality of fiat currencies, he realized that no matter how much money anyone has, it does not guarantee them anything in this world. This discovery, coupled with his love for nature, fueled his passion for homesteading, especially working with soil, plants, and people to support planetary healing. This led to the creation of the Open Source Nomadic Community Model, a deep passion of his.

Ticon loves sharing this passion with whoever is interested. He is amazed and inspired by the ability of ecosystems to produce energy abundance in the form of leaves, fruits, veggies, seeds, wood, and much more. He believes it is our destiny to return to the natural balance that results in abundance for all life.

Your hosts:

Alexandra Alden

Founder entelechy.studio, Facilitator

I am a curious being, interested in what it means to be on this ball hurtling through space. I have historically gotten paid for my imagination and intellect. I’ve been lucky enough to work with the likes of IDEO, fuseproject, and various UN Agencies. However, the more we pushed for change the more I realized change is not an external process.

These days I tune less into my head and more into my inner sensing of the nature of nature. I started entelechy because I wanted a space to grow this ability with others as we return to interdependence.

Jonathan Klodt

Entrepreneur, Transformation Catalyst, Community builder

All my professional life I’ve been building bridges between the business world and alternative ways of living. As an entrepreneur, I co-founded several award-winning companies. As a cultural pioneer, I have lived in several intentional communities and ecovillages and organized transformative gatherings and festivals.

I’m deeply inspired by natural systems’ potential of self-organization, creativity, and regenerative ways of living.
